Executive Bios
Serfwerks was founded in 2006 by Natalie Themm and Nate Gibby, two seasoned design and marketing professionals looking to help business' marketing efforts take a quantum leap forward. In order to achieve that leap, they've coupled their talent and experience with a team of industry leaders in marketing, design, public relations, programming and more.

Natalie Themm
Co-founder, Creative Director
Natalie provides Serfwerks’ clientele with over 10 years of graphic design experience. Her broad range of expertise ranges from corporate identity and interactive to collateral and packaging. Prior to Serfwerks, she has held varied creative positions inlcluding Creative Director, Art Director, Senior Designer, and more at numerous agencies in Northern California and Salt Lake City, Utah. She has designed for industries ranging from restaurant franchising, publishing, technology, and many more. Natalie’s award-winning work has been featured in the AIGA 100 show. With extensive experience in photography, print, multimedia, audio and more, her skill set is broader than most designers. Natalie has a bachelor’s degree of fine arts in graphic design from the University of Utah.

Nate Gibby
Co-Founder, Marketing Director
Nate has spent more than a decade providing marketing services to companies of varying industries and sizes. Prior to Serfwerks, he served as the director of marketing for a restaurant franchise with approximately $20 million in annual sales with restaurants in seven states. He also worked as a marketing consultant for two Salt Lake-based marketing and design agencies. He taught a marketing course for professionals in the University of Utah’s department of Academic Outreach and Continuing Education. With an undergraduate degree in public relations and a graduate degree in public administration, Nate’s unique educational background complements his marketing experience by adding skills in formal research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and organizational behavior/ psychology to his repertoire. He also has extensive copy writing & editing experience having written for many of his clients and worked as a free-lance writer and as a contributing editor.
